Founded by the initiative of the Union of Soviet Architects in 1934 the Schusev State Museum of Architecture, MUAR is the first architecture museum in the world. The Museum’s collection reflects one thousand years of Russian architectural history and among other treasures features invaluable archives of the works of Soviet constructivists. By a decree of the President of Russia from January 24th, 1995 the Museum obtained an official status of an "extra valuable institution of cultural heritage of people of the Russian Federation."

Enfilade Building


Exhibition devoted to the history and design of “Worker and Farmer Woman sculpture (78 feet high exluding pedestal) holding the hammer and sickle symbol. Stainless steel sculpture by Vera Mukhina was built for the 1937 World's Fair in Paris and subsequently moved to Moscow in front of VDNKH (EXPO Park). The sculpture was fully restored and placed on remodeled and heightened stone pedestal in November 2009.
